Who we are

This website is operated by Global Knowledge Transfer (trading as GKT), which is the entity responsible for the personal information described in this policy (the “controller” for the purposes of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, or APPs).

What we collect

  • Details you give us when you complete a form or contact us: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, role, organisation size and the content of your message.
  • How you found us: if you arrive from one of our flyers, QR codes or links, we keep the campaign details in the link (for example the source and campaign), the first page you visited, the website you came from, and the time. These are held in your browser for the duration of your visit and are sent to us only if you submit a form.
  • Technical information that our hosting and email providers record as part of normal operation, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

We do not set cookies on this website unless you agree to them. If we use analytics that sets cookies (such as Google Analytics), it stays off until you choose “Allow analytics” in the privacy preferences banner, and you can change your mind at any time using “Privacy preferences” in the footer. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. If we use cookieless analytics (such as Plausible), it counts visits without cookies and without identifying you, so it loads as soon as you visit and does not show a consent prompt. We do not use advertising cookies.

Why we collect it (purposes)

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call or follow-up.
  • To understand which of our materials and channels lead to enquiries, so we can improve them.
  • To send you GKT insights and updates, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each message or by contacting us.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website, and to meet our legal obligations.

We use your information for these purposes, or for a related purpose you would reasonably expect. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries, such as email delivery and customer-relationship tools, and only so far as needed for them to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Overseas disclosure

[To be confirmed by Commander/counsel before launch: the countries in which our email and CRM service providers store or process personal information, and the specific providers.]

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it.

Access, correction and opting out

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or to stop marketing messages, by contacting us at seth@globalknowledgetransfer.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version and date above show when it last changed. See also our contact page.
